Google releases an update to Chrome OS 107 that includes a "save desk for later" option.
Users of Samsung Chromebooks running Chrome OS 107 can save the desk from the overview screen using the buttons on the left side of the window. The 'Saved for Later' panel, which is located to the right of the 'New Desk' screen, allows users to access this feature. Users can give this saved workstation a name, view the date it was created, and view a row of open icons. By tapping on them, they can start any stored desk.
Users can name and date-check each of the open favicons in a row that is also displayed. Touching the desk will cause it to immediately launch and come back. Tech giant Google recently released Chrome OS 107 update, which includes a 'Save Desk for Later' option, in an effort to improve user experience.
The button above the left-most window on the first one will enable users to instantly 'Save desk for later' from the overview panel. The 'Saved for later' screen, which can be reached from the right of the 'New desk' screen, will be displayed after clicking, taking the user there. It also stated that tapping will quickly launch and restore the desk.
In the meanwhile, closing open desks from the Overview menu will now be simpler, and if a user unintentionally closes a desk, there will be a 'Undo' option at the bottom of the screen. According to the source, Google is also testing a merge feature that will allow users to combine opened Desks.
A new 'Documents' filter has been added to the 'Recent' view in the Files app, and the list below has been arranged by time period to make things easier to navigate.
Users only need to long press the virtual keyboard to gain access to 'accent letters.' By pressing down on actual keys, users of Chrome OS 107 will be able to perform the same action.
